Principal Software Engineer II – .NET (Remote – Ireland Based)
Location: Dublin / Remote
Salary: €100,000 DOE + Bonus + Benefits

We’re working with a global payments company that’s actively scaling their Irish tech presence. They’re hiring a Principal Software Engineer II to lead key platform development efforts while remaining hands-on with code.

This is a technical leadership role, offering real ownership across architecture, delivery, and engineering standards.

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver scalable, real-time systems supporting APIs, billing, and onboarding

• Remain hands-on, contributing up to 50% of the time in .NET

• Provide technical direction across multiple teams and capabilities

• Shape architectural decisions and contribute to the tech roadmap

• Drive best practices across documentation, performance, and delivery standards

Ideal Profile:

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering and enterprise architecture

• Expertise in .NET, with strong SaaS and API platform experience

• Skilled in system integration, cloud-native design, and high-volume processing

• Comfortable leading technical teams and coaching engineers

• Previous experience in the payments space is a strong advantage
